Portman2 is in beta. Features are still being added, nothing here should be taken as final, and things can change or be removed without notice.

The photo viewer

See a photo's albums and tags

See which albums and tags the photo on screen is in, as chips under the photo — O and P show or hide them.

Below the counter, or below the info card, the viewer shows them one row per kind:

  • O shows or hides the album chips;
  • P shows or hides the tag chips;
  • keyword chips show whenever the info card is up;
  • a row of its own marks a RAW file and an edited photo.

The O and P settings are remembered, and are also under Appearance.

Clicking a chip

Click an album or tag chip for a small menu:

  • Open album or Open tag closes the viewer and shows that album or tag in the grid.
  • Remove from album or Remove tag takes this one photo out, and the notice offers Undo. The viewer stays open. Click a keyword chip for Make a tag of this…: it offers to tag every photo in the library that the keyword model gives this word, and says how many that is before it does anything. The result is an ordinary tag — it syncs and can be undone — and the keyword stays as it was.

Adding the photo to an album or tag from inside the viewer updates the chips straight away.
