Choose a library when Portman2 starts
With more than one library, Portman2 can ask Which library? as it starts, so you pick the family or the work photos before anything opens — or skip the question.
The picker
Each library is listed with its name and avatar, its folder, and when it was last opened. A library that needs attention says why:
- its folder cannot be reached right now — it is dimmed but can still be opened;
- it has not been scanned yet — opening it builds the catalogue;
- no photo folder is recorded for it, or its catalogue is missing.
Click a library to open it, or New library to create one and open it.
Not asking
Tick Open the last library used, without asking to skip the picker and open the library you used last. To see the picker again later, choose Choose a library… on the library menu.
There is no cancel: closing the picker closes Portman2.
On a fresh install with no library at all, the first screen is the form for creating one.
