Portman2 is in beta. Features are still being added, nothing here should be taken as final, and things can change or be removed without notice.

Find the photos you have edited

Find every photo you have edited in one place, to go back over a batch of edits or put a photo back as it was.

An edit is hard to see in a grid of thumbnails, so Edited in the sidebar collects every photo you have worked on in the editor, with a count.

Recognising an edited photo

An edited photo carries a small dial in the corner of its tile — the same dial the editor's knobs are drawn with. The viewer shows the same dial on the row under the album and tag chips.

What the view is for

  • Finding a photo again after editing it.
  • Going back over a batch of edits.
  • Undoing an edit: open the photo in the editor and use Restore original, which brings back the untouched file from the originals folder.

Videos that have been trimmed, graded or converted are found differently: the videos bar can narrow the Videos list to the clips that keep their original. When nothing has been edited yet, the view says so: open a photo and press Ctrl+E — the original is always kept.
