Portman2 is in beta. Features are still being added, nothing here should be taken as final, and things can change or be removed without notice.

Photos in their own windows

Star, file and rotate in a popup

A popup window does most of what the main window does, for its own photo — star, hide, tag, file into albums, rotate — and shares every change with it at once.

It acts on its own photo

Every key and menu in a popup acts on the photo in that window, never on the grid's selection:

  • right-click for the photo menu;
  • S stars, H hides, Del moves to the trash, L and T add to an album or tag, and the digit keys use your album slots;
  • R and Shift+R rotate the photo, and the window reshapes itself to fit;
  • F2 or Insert pins this window's photo to the static screens;
  • Ctrl+Z undoes the most recent change, wherever it was made.

The selection circle

The circle in the top-right corner adds the photo to the main window's selection, or takes it out. The grid and the popup show the same selection.

Notices and album slots

Notices about what you did in a popup appear in that popup. Hold Ctrl to see your album slots there, as in the main window.
