Slideshow transitions and 3D effects

Choose how a slideshow moves: a cut, a crossfade, a slow Ken Burns pan and zoom, or a 3D scene — a sliding photo wall or prints flying through space.

The look chip on the slideshow bar cycles through these five.

The flat show

  • Cut — each photo replaces the last at once.
  • Crossfade — each photo fades in over the last.
  • Ken Burns — each photo slowly pans and zooms, keeping its anchor in view.

These step from photo to photo at the interval set on the bar, and play videos inline.

The 3D scenes

  • Photowall — the photos as prints on a wall that slides past, read left to right by default.
  • Space — prints flying through a dark space lit by three coloured spotlights, arriving towards you by default.

Both move continuously, so they have a speed instead of an interval, and they show video poster frames rather than playing the clips. Their size, direction and lighting are in their own settings.

Coming back from a 3D scene to the flat show returns to the transition you had before.
