Compare & pick the best photos
Finish a cull: keep, untag or trash
When the cull is done, one button keeps your picks and takes the rest out of the album, untags them, trashes them or selects them, depending on where you started.
Compare & pick only ever splits the photos into two piles — the ones still in play and the ones you removed. The buttons in the header decide what happens to them.
The main button
Its label says what it will do, and depends on where you started:
- From an album: Keep 23 — remove 17 from Holiday takes the removed photos out of that album. Nothing is deleted.
- From a tag view: Keep 23 — untag 17 takes the tag off the removed photos.
- From the Duplicates view: Keep 3 — trash 2 moves the removed photos to the trash.
- Anywhere else: Keep 23 — select makes the photos still in play the grid's selection.
When nothing has been removed, the album, tag and duplicates flows read Keep all N and change nothing.
Select the dropped
Once you have removed anything — except when comparing duplicates — a second button, Select the N dropped, makes the removed photos the selection instead. It changes nothing in the library, so you can then tag, move or delete that batch however you like.
Leaving
Enter presses the main button. Esc or Cancel leaves without changing anything.
