Portman2 is in beta. Features are still being added, nothing here should be taken as final, and things can change or be removed without notice.

Phones, tablets and the LAN

Browse your photos on a phone

Browse the whole library on a phone by album, date or tag, open any photo full size and play videos, on pages laid out for a small screen.

The LAN pages work in any browser.

Finding photos

The menu at the top leads to:

  • Albums — the library's front page, its album tree;
  • Dates — years, months and days;
  • Tags;
  • Everything — the whole library;
  • Live — a mirror of the desktop: see The Live page.

Grids load more photos as you scroll.

The top bar

  • Full quality — loads the originals instead of the 1024-pixel thumbnails. Slower, but sharp when zoomed.
  • Tile size — how many photos fit across.
  • Filter every grid by tag — a Show row for photos or videos, then require or leave out starred photos and tags on every grid, as on the desktop. The grid updates when you close the panel.
  • Order by newest first, in the tile size panel.

A photo

Tap a photo to open it. Step to the previous or next with ‹ and ›. Under it are its name, date, size and dimensions, its album and tag chips, and buttons to Move to the trash and Download the original. Videos play on the page.

Esc goes back to the list the photo was opened from.
