Crop and straighten photos
Crop a photo to any shape — square, 4:3, 16:9 and more — straighten a tilted horizon, or give every photo on screen the same shape at once.
The Crop tab frames the photo.
With one photo on screen
- Straighten levels a tilted horizon, up to 45° either way. Straighten first: the crop is taken against the levelled frame, and the crop rectangle shrinks to stay inside the photo.
- Drag the handles on the photo to crop.
- Aspect fits the crop to a shape: Free, Original, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 3:4, 2:3 or 9:16. Reset crop removes the crop.
With several photos on screen
Every tile carries its own handles, so drag on any photo to crop it; each keeps its own crop. The top of the tab, Aspect — all N on screen, applies one shape to all of them, each fitted to its own frame, and Reset all removes every crop. Below it, the controls for the highlighted photo alone.
The anchor
The anchor says where the subject of the picture is. Click the photo to set it. Ken Burns slideshows, thumbnail crops and a slideshow's cover fit all keep the anchor in view.
The line under it says where the anchor is and who decided it: a point you clicked, a detected face, a detected subject, or the centre when there is nothing else. A click always wins; without one, what the machine-learning models found is used. Clear anchor removes your click.
