Filter photos by tag, star or type
Show only starred photos, only videos or RAW files, or only photos with certain tags — or leave them out — in every album, date and tag you open.
The filter button in the top bar opens Filter every grid: a filter by tag, by star and by kind of file that stays on as you move between albums, dates and tags.
Show
The Show row at the top narrows to All, Photos, Videos or RAW. The sidebar's Photos and Videos rows set the same choice; RAW is only here.
Starred and tags
Below it are Starred and every tag in the library. Click a row to cycle it through three states:
- required — only photos with it are shown;
- excluded — photos with it are left out;
- off — it makes no difference.
The leading icon on each row shows its state. Changes apply as you click; there is no Apply button. Type in Find a tag to narrow a long list.
While the filter is on
The filter icon turns green, and a green chip beside it describes the filter. Click the chip, or Clear the filter in the panel, to switch it off. A grid that the filter has emptied says how many items it is hiding. The search box is a separate narrowing and works together with the filter.
