Find similar photos
Find every photo that looks like the one you have — the same picture resized or re-saved, or the same moment taken twice — with Ctrl+Shift+F.
Starting it
Press Ctrl+Shift+F, or choose Find similar on the photo menu. From the viewer it closes the viewer and shows the results in the grid.
- With one photo, it finds the photos that look like it. The photo you started from is pinned first, marked origin.
- With several photos selected, it finds more like these, by the same kind of scene. All the starting photos are pinned first.
How close
A bar over the grid sets how close a match must be:
- Identical — the same picture, perhaps resized or re-saved;
- Very similar — the same moment, slightly different;
- Loosely similar — a looser match;
- Same kind of scene — similar subjects and settings, judged by the keyword model rather than by the picture's outline. Same kind of scene needs the keyword model to have analysed the photos; when it cannot be used, the segment says why. With several photos selected only Same kind of scene applies.
Click the ✕ on the bar to go back to where you started.
The viewer's info card shows how many similar photos the shown photo has at the current strictness. Find similar is greyed out for a virtual copy.
