Find the videos taking up most space
Find the videos that take up the most space — sort by size, length or bitrate and see what compressing them would save — then convert them in one go.
The videos bar works over the Videos slice of a view.
Opening it
While Videos is on, a button in the top bar shows or hides the bar; its tooltip reads Sort, filter and convert the videos. You can also right-click Videos in the sidebar and choose Show the videos bar, which turns the Videos slice on first.
What it does
- Sorting — order the videos by Date, Length, Size or Bitrate. Each tile then shows the measure it is sorted by.
- A size threshold — show only videos larger than a size, or above a bitrate: pick a preset, or Custom… to type one in MB or Mbit/s. Any size shows them all.
- Originals — show only the videos that keep their original: Keeps its original, or just those Trimmed, Graded or Converted. Any video shows them all.
- Totals — how much the list, or the selection, adds up to, and an estimate of what converting would save under the current conversion settings.
- Convert selected — opens Convert for the selected videos.
While a video is queued, being converted or has been passed over, its tile says so.
The ✕ at the end of the bar hides it again. If a threshold empties the list, the bar stays so you can clear it.
