Browse and open photos
Scroll or arrow-key through the library grid and open any photo large in the viewer, or in a window of its own.
The grid shows whatever the sidebar has picked — the whole library, an album, a tag, a date — narrowed by any filter or search that is on.
Moving around
Scroll with the mouse wheel, or use the keyboard: the arrow keys move a highlight from tile to tile, PageUp and PageDown move a screen at a time, Home and End go to the first and last item, and Ctrl with an arrow key goes to the end of the row or column.
Opening a photo
- Click a tile, or press
SpaceorEnteron the highlighted one, to open it in the viewer. Ctrl+click, orCtrl+Enter, opens it in a window of its own.- Right-click a tile for the photo menu.
When you close the viewer the grid has followed you: the highlight sits on the last photo you looked at.
What the tiles show
A video tile plays a short muted preview while it is hovered or highlighted, and shows its length. Small marks in the corners say more about a photo: a star when it is starred, the dial that means it has been edited, RAW for a RAW file, a badge when it is hidden, and an amber badge when two computers edited it at once. Hovering the dots on a tile names the albums and tags it is in.
Dragging
Drag a tile onto an album, a tag, Starred, Hidden or Trash in the sidebar to file it there. Dragging a tile that is part of the selection carries the whole selection.
When the grid is empty
An empty view says why — an empty album, a filter that hides everything, a date with nothing in it — and what to do about it.
