Delete photos permanently
Delete a photo permanently, removing the file from disk — with a confirmation, or without one behind a ten-second countdown you can still cancel.
Deleting forever removes the file from disk, along with its album and tag entries. It cannot be undone.
With a confirmation
Press Shift+Del, or choose Delete forever on the photo menu in the Trash view. Portman2 asks Delete from disk forever?, naming the photo or counting the selection.
Without a confirmation
Ctrl+Shift+Del deletes forever without asking, but not at once: a notice counts down for ten seconds and can still cancel it. Only when the countdown ends do the files leave the disk. Over 100 photos at once it asks first anyway.
Inside the Trash view
In the Trash view, Ctrl+Del means delete forever, with a confirmation, since there is nothing left there to move to the trash.
Delete forever is a desktop-only action: the LAN pages can move photos to the trash but never remove files.
